Chief Clinical Director & MFT, Logos CDC Community Counseling Services
Life is a complex journey, and at times, we all need help navigating its challenges. As a dedicated mental health professional with over 15 years of experience, I am committed to providing compassionate support and evidence-based interventions to individuals, couples, and families seeking healing and transformation.
Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse settings, including inpatient, residential, and outpatient care, serving adolescents and adults facing a wide range of challenges. In addition to clinical practice, I have extensive experience consulting for organizations, training mental health professionals, and serving as a guest lecturer at various universities. Currently, I am an adjunct professor in the Human Services program at Rasmussen University, which allows me to stay informed on emerging best practices and bring cutting-edge approaches to my work.
As the founder of the Trauma Has No Color Anthology Project, I have created a transformative space where women process their trauma through intensive individual and group therapy. Their healing journey is captured through narrative therapy, and their stories become chapters in an anthology that is later published—giving voice to their resilience and recovery.
I am also the creator of the Faith-Based Trauma Clinic, an initiative designed to bridge the gap between faith and mental health by equipping faith-based leaders with the knowledge and skills to address trauma effectively. This program has gained international recognition and was taken overseas to Ghana, where it was used to train faith leaders on understanding trauma and providing informed care within their communities.
My educational background includes a Master’s in Counseling and a Ph.D. in Psychology, and I am certified in multiple evidence-based modalities, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). While I am well-versed in various therapeutic approaches, I recognize that each individual’s journey is unique. I take a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with my clients to tailor treatment plans that align with their needs, values, and goals.
Above all, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and empowering environment where healing and personal growth can take place. I believe in the power of the therapeutic partnership and in the strengths and resilience that lie within each of us. Taking the first step toward healing is courageous, and I commend you for embarking on this journey.
